When you're staring at the fridge at 6:30 PM and your brain has exactly zero ideas left, this wrap is your answer. It takes a Caesar salad — something everyone already likes — and turns it into an actual dinner with barely any work. Rotisserie chicken does the heavy lifting, a flour tortilla holds it all together, and bottled Caesar dressing means no making anything from scratch. You'll spend more time finding a plate than actually cooking. Honest expectation: it's simple, a little crunchy, and genuinely satisfying. Not fancy. Just done.

Ingredients

  • 2 unit large flour tortillas — 10-inch burrito size works best
  • 2 cup rotisserie chicken — shredded, white or dark meat
  • 2 cup romaine lettuce — roughly chopped
  • 0.25 cup Caesar dressing — bottled is totally fine
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese — shredded or shaved
  • 0.5 cup croutons — crush them slightly so the wrap closes easier
  • 1 tsp black pepper — freshly ground if you have it
  • 1 unit lemon — just a squeeze, optional but brightens everything

Method

  1. 1 If you want a warm, slightly crispy tortilla, heat a dry skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Warm each tortilla for about 30 seconds per side until soft and pliable. Set aside.
  2. 2 In a bowl, toss the shredded rotisserie chicken with half the Caesar dressing (about 2 tbsp) and the black pepper until coated.
  3. 3 In a separate bowl, toss the chopped romaine with the remaining Caesar dressing. Add a small squeeze of lemon if using.
  4. 4 Lay a tortilla flat. Layer on half the dressed lettuce, then half the chicken, then half the Parmesan and half the croutons.
  5. 5 Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom like a burrito. Press gently to hold its shape.
  6. 6 Slice in half on a diagonal and serve immediately. Repeat with the second wrap.

Variations

  • Vegetarian swap — Skip the chicken and use a drained, rinsed can of chickpeas tossed in the Caesar dressing instead. Adds protein and a nice chew.
  • Even faster — Skip warming the tortillas and skip the lemon — just assemble straight from the bag and fridge. You'll be eating in under 8 minutes.
  • Cheese swap — No Parmesan? Pecorino Romano or even shredded provolone works fine and keeps the salty, savory profile.

Notes

The key to a wrap that doesn't fall apart: don't overdress the lettuce. Use just enough Caesar to coat — soggy lettuce is the enemy of a good wrap. Crush the croutons in your hand before adding them so they tuck in neatly. If you're making these for more people, scale up one-for-one — the ratio stays the same.

Equipment that helps

  • Large skillet — Warming the tortilla in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side makes it pliable and adds a subtle toasty flavor that cold tortillas just don't have.
